Hi, my name is Sepmond. I am a Dad of 2 wonderful boys and husband to an amazing Wife. I’ve been in the tech industry for over 20 years where I started as an Information Technology Specialist, spent some time as a Supervisor, and am now an I.T. Analyst. I’ve done everything from fieldwork and phone support to now working on application and server administration. I currently have an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming and am working towards a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

The World of I.T. has definitely changed throughout the years. I remember the days of walking to the campus computer lab to take my exams, now we have the ability to take an exam from any device that has an internet connection. It’s been a while since I’ve been in class so I am hoping this course will refresh my memory of those critical items as well as teach me many of the new advances in I.T. One perfect example of something new is building a blog. It’s scary yet inspiring to start something new that can be shared with others. My career goal is to become a system administrator where I can learn more about the magic that happens behind the scenes. The goal of this blog is to take you along my journey, from the very beginning, my trials of tribulations, to becoming a systems administrator. Thank you for reading and take care.

Documenting a Day

Introduction Microsoft first debuted the Office Suite in 1989 which at that time was only available for the Apple Mac. Within the year, Microsoft became available for both Apple Mac and Windows 3.0. At that time, the Suite only included three options which were Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and was very limited by today’s standards. ( Jones, 2019).  Since then, there have been many versions of Office released along with many advancements with applications for both businesses and students. Introduction   There are various types of security used around the World. Some types are within the financial system in the forms of debt and equity while others are more physical such as a guard or a bouncer. While those types of security are valuable to those entities, one type of security that is imperative to have in the World today is network security.
